The calibration of different thermometers should refer to different national standards. For thermometers with large errors, they can be safely used after being sent to the measurement department for verification or calibration.
1. Contact thermometer
The national verification regulation of glass thermometer requires the use of second-class standard platinum resistance thermometer and supporting electrical measuring equipment as the standard device:
Electrical measuring equipment shall not be lower than 0.02 level;
The resolution shall not be less than 0.1M Ω;
The uniformity of incubation bath in the range of (30-45) ℃ is not more than 0.01 ℃;
The stability is not more than 0.01 ℃ / 10min;
The water three-phase point device is used to provide the water three-phase point resistance value of the standard platinum resistance thermometer.
The national verification regulation of medical electronic thermometer also requires the second-class standard platinum resistance thermometer, and the relative error is not more than 50ppm;
The thermostatic bath is in the range of (0 ~ 50) ℃;
Uniformity shall not be greater than 0.02 ℃;
The stability is not more than 0.02 ℃ / 10min and the water three-phase point device.

2. Non-contact thermometer
The infrared ear thermometer is more complex than the contact method because it uses the non-contact measurement principle, so it needs special equipment. A blackbody cavity with emissivity no less than 0.999 needs to be placed in a constant temperature bath to provide a constant temperature environment.
